⚙️ Trading Conditions

Leverage - Up to 1:50

  • Forex - 1:50

  • Metals - 1:20

  • Indices - 1:20

  • Energies - 1:10

  • Crypto - 1:2

Lot Size Limit - 20 Lots

The platform does not allow inputs of higher lot sizes as a way to avoide extreme market conditions. The 20 lots limit is set per trade.

Commissions - $6 per Lot

This is applied to all instruments.

Hard Breach Rules

Upon violation of these hard breach rules, your account is subject for immediate termination.

Daily Drawdown - 3%

Your current equity or balance mut not go below -3% of the account size relative to the start of day's account balance or equity (whichever is higher)

Daily Drawdown = 3% (higher value between balance and equity)

  • Example 1: Higher Equity

    • Start of day:

      • Balance: $10,000

      • Equity: $10,500 (open trade in profit)

    • Day Start Equity: $10,500

    • Daily drawdown limit: 3% of $10,000 = $300

    • Violation scenario:
If equity drops below $10,200($10,500 - $300) at any point, the 3% daily drawdown is breached.

  • Example 2: Higher Balance

    • Start of day:

      • Balance: $10,500 (you closed a profitable trade yesterday)

      • Equity: $10,000 (you’re currently floating a $500 loss)

    • Day Start Balance: Balance is higher at $10,500

    • Daily drawdown limit: 3% of $10,000 = $300

    • Violation scenario:
If balance falls below $10,200 ($10,500 - $300), you breach the rule.

Maximum Drawdown - 6%

This is the allowable amount to lose in the account in total.

Maximum Drawdown = 6%
This is trailing until 3% profit is made. Once 3% profit is made, maximum drawdown locks to initial account size + 100.

Example:

  • $50k account: Initial max drawdown at $47,000 (6% = $3,000).

  • If highest equity reaches $50,500, max drawdown adjusts to $47,500.

  • If highest equity reaches $53,000, max drawdown adjusts to $50,100.

  • If highest equity reaches $54,500, max drawdown remains at $50,100.

Note: Unlike Next-Gen accounts, the maximum drawdown for Instant Funding accounts DOES NOT reset upon payout.

Maximum Risk - 1%

You are only entitled to risk 1% of the initial account balance. This means the your floating PnL (Profit and Loss) must not drop to -1% of your initial account balance.

Example 1:

  • Initial Account Balance: $50,000

  • Current Balance: $50,000

  • 1% of Initial Account Balance: $500

  • Maximum Loss Allowed (Floating PnL): -$500

  • Minimum Equity Before Breach: $49,500

You are only entitled to risk 1% of the account. This means that your floating PnL must not drop to -$500, and your equity must never fall below $49,500 at any point — or it will be considered a violation.

Example 2:

  • Initial Account Balance: $50,000

  • Current Balance: $52,000

  • 1% of Initial Account Balance: $500

  • Maximum Loss Allowed (Floating PnL): -$500

  • Minimum Equity Before Breach: $51,500

News Trading - Not Allowed

  • No positions to be held, closed, or opened 5 minutes before and after high-impact news on affected currencies of the pair being traded

  • During speeches, this is extended to 5 minutes before speech and 5 minutes after speech

For Trades Placed Before July 25, 2025:

  • A 20-minute window (10 minutes before and after news) applies instead of 10 minutes.

  • No positions may be held, closed, or opened within 10 minutes before and after high-impact news or speeches.

IMPORTANT:

Opening a trade with the affected currencies inside the 5 minute window lead to account termination without consideration

Weekend Trading - Not Allowed

  • No open trades allowed over the weekend. Close all trades at least 1 hour before the market closes on Friday.

Inactivity - 30 days

  • In order to keep your account active, you must open and close a trade within a 30-day period, if not, your account will be immediately terminated.

Minimum Profitable Days - 5 days

For every 30-day period of your account, you must have 5 profitable days by having a profit of at least 0.25% of the account balance

Example for $50,000 Account:

  • 0.25% of $50,000 = $125

  • You must have 5 days of winning $125

The 30-day period resets either:

  • At the end of 30 days since first trade was placed

  • After payout

Unrealistic Trading Practices

What are Unrealistic Trading Practices?

Unrealistic trading practices refer to strategies or behaviors that are not indicative of genuine market analysis or sustainable trading. These include trades with extremely short holding times, which do not reflect realistic market conditions.

Volume-Weighted Average Holding Time (VWHT) Requirement:

To promote realistic trading behavior, all trades must meet a minimum VWHT threshold.

  • Holding Time: Duration (in minutes) a position is held before being closed.

  • Trade Volume: Size of the position for each trade.

  1. VWHT Below 2 Minutes:

    • If your VWHT is less than 2 minutes, your account will be flagged for Unrealistic Trading Practices.

    • Action Taken: The account will be terminated with the reason: "Unrealistic Trading Method."

  2. HFT Restrictions:

    • High-frequency trading strategies (including trades lasting 0–15 seconds) are considered unrealistic and unsustainable due to the inability to replicate such methods under live market conditions.

Is Grid Trading allowed? - Not Allowed

At FundingTraders, we are committed to promoting responsible and fair trading practices that align with industry standards and protect both the platform and our community of traders. To maintain this standard, certain strategies that pose excessive risk or have the potential to manipulate market activity are not allowed. One such strategy is Grid Trading.

What is Grid Trading?

Grid trading is a strategy where traders place multiple buy and sell orders at various price levels above and below the current market price. The intention is to profit from price movements within a set range, capturing gains as the market fluctuates between these levels.

For example, a trader might place buy orders at $100, $105, and $110, and sell orders at $115, $120, and $125. As the market moves up and down within this range, each executed trade can yield a small profit. However, if the market moves sharply in one direction, such as dropping below $100, all the buy orders may be triggered, resulting in significant cumulative losses.

Why Grid Trading is Prohibited

Grid trading is not allowed for the following reasons:

  • Risk Amplification: This strategy can quickly escalate into large drawdowns during volatile or trending market conditions.

  • Market Manipulation: The nature of placing numerous layered orders can give the illusion of abnormal market activity, which contradicts our policy of fair usage.

  • Violation of Fair Trading Principles: We prioritize strategies that promote responsible risk management. Grid trading conflicts with these values due to its inherently aggressive and high-risk approach.

Not Allowed | To ensure a safe, transparent, and fair trading environment for all our users, Grid Trading is strictly prohibited. Traders found using this strategy may face consequences, including potential disqualification from their funded accounts. We encourage all traders to adopt strategies that align with our core principles of disciplined and ethical trading.

If you have any questions about permitted strategies or need clarification, feel free to reach out to our support team([email protected]).

Soft Breach Rules

Upon violation of these rules, you must continue trading further on your account to achieve the objective and be eligible for payout.

Consistency Score (15%)

  • The biggest trading day cannot exceed 15% of Current PnL.

  • The biggest trading day is the day with the highest PnL.

Example:

Day 1: $750 (Biggest Trading Day)

Day 2: $730

Day 3: $700

Day 4: $690

Day 5: $670
Day 6: $730

Day 7: $730

Current PnL: $5,000

To get your consistency score, you must follow this formula:

In the case of this example, your biggest trading day is $750 and your current PnL is $5,000, resulting to a 15% consistency score

With this, your account is cleared of the 15% Consistency Score only on the 7th day.

Biggest Loss MUST NOT EXCEED Biggest Win

  • The biggest loss on the account should not be greater than the biggest win. If so, you must continue trading until your biggest win is greater than your biggest loss.

  • In case of payment issues (e.g., expired card), contact our support team to arrange an alternative.

Factors to Consider

  • 15% Consistency Score

    • No trading day should be more than 15% of your total profits in the account.

  • 3% Safety Cushion

    • The first 3% profit in the account is not withdrawable, as it serves as an allowance for your daily loss limit. This 3% allowance is calculated relative to the total account size, not just your current profits.

Note: Do not add the safety cushion to your withdrawal amount

If safety cushion is included in the withdrawal amount, the account will be breached due to daily loss limit.

  • Biggest Loss MUST NOT EXCEED Biggest Win

    • The biggest loss on the account should not be greater than the biggest win. If so, you must continue trading on the account until false.
